Elissey Kostsov launched his career as the Fashion Coordinator at ELLE Russia at the age of 18. One year later he became Junior Fashion Editor at VOGUE Russia. In July 2007, he joined a team to launch CITIZEN K Russia, as Fashion Editor. Within a year he advanced to the position of Fashion Director at the age of 21, making him the youngest Fashion Director for a Russian publication ever. In August 2009 he became Fashion Director at Marie Claire Russia.

Recently Elissey is no longer working at magazines in favor of independent art projects (including Allegoria Sacra by AES+F) and billboards for Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre). He is also being involved in optional projects as a creative director, making the concept for advertising campaigns, runway shows, commercial shootings and windows decorations.

Elissey has collaborated with a wide spectrum of fashion and art photographers including Louis Decamps, Benoit Peverelli, Vladimir Fridkes, Egor Zaika, Vladimir Glynin, Vadim Piskarev, Dmitry Zhuravlev, Danil Golovkin, Lev Efimov, Alexey Kolpakov, Jean Leprini, Olga Lavrenkova and many others.

Elissey is especially recognized for his provocative and innovative styling. Over the past few years his work has received much attention and has been widely discussed.
